Robert J Duffy

Robert J. (Bob) Duffy is a Financial Planner and Retirement Planning Specialist with Wealth Management Strategies (WMS) in Irvine, CA. Mr. Duffy has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, previously at Morgan Stanley, and now with WMS – a premier advisory practice. Mr. Duffy has a deep and broad range of experience in the areas of investments, insurance, and risk management. In 2007, Mr. Duffy was awarded the title of Retirement Planning Specialist by Equitable Advisors, based upon the successful receipt of a Certificate in Retirement Planning from the Wharton school, University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Duffy is well-prepared to help guide clients – families and individuals, business owners, and non-profit organizations – as they plan for future financial independence and as they prepare for unexpected risks that can disrupt these plans. Mr. Duffy provides guidance and strategies for clients in the areas of wealth protection, accumulation, distribution, and transfer. He helps clients and their tax advisors to implement strategies – while considering potential tax implications – to position clients for flexibility and control in how they build, protect, use, and transfer their wealth.

Understanding the importance and value of teamwork, Mr. Duffy encourages a coordinated approach to clients’ needs and promotes communication with clients’ professional advisors such as CPAs, Estate Planning Attorneys, and Business Advisors. Having the resources of one of the largest financial services companies in Equitable Advisors, and numerous other leading financial services relationships, he is able to bring a variety of innovative, practical ideas and products to clients which result in custom strategies to address their needs and goals.

Mr. Duffy is very involved in the local community through a variety of volunteer roles. He is currently serving on the Saddleback Valley YMCA Board of Managers. He has volunteered as a coach or assistant coach for a variety of local youth sports, including Mission Viejo Girls Softball, YMCA Basketball, and T-ball programs, AYSO Soccer, and Serra Catholic School Basketball. He is a committee member of the Serra Padres and is a former long-time member of the Rotary Club of Mission Viejo. Prior to beginning his career in the financial services field, he was an auditor in the healthcare, banking, and public accounting industries for ten years.
